Let me share some interesting recipes for raising a child. These recipes are nutritionally high and appealing to the taste buds of toddlers. These recipes are easy to make, require fewer ingredients, and can be prepared within 20 minutes 

Recipe 1: 

Ragi jaggery Ladoo 

Ragi is a superfood and is extremely healthy for children in their growing years. Regi is high in protein, which is helpful in the growth of muscles. Its high fiber content and nonacidic nature make it easy to digest. Ragi has a high calcium content, much higher than other cereals. Toddlers facing malnutrition and weakness should be given Ragi, as it helps them gain weight. It has high microbial properties, which help toddlers against infectious diseases—the calcium and phosphorus contents of jaggery help to make bones stronger. Ghee has omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for proper brain development in toddlers. 

Ingredients: 

○ 1.5 cup Ragi 

○ 1/3 cup clarified butter (ghee) 

○ 3/4 cup jaggery (powdered or grated; must be organic) 

Method: 

1. Heat the pan and dry roast Ragi flour. 

2. Add clarified butter to the Ragi flour. 

3. Roast it for 5 to 7 minutes. 

4. Add jaggery to the above mixture.  

5. Mix it well with your hands and make the shape of a Ladoo. 

Recipe 2: 

Banana and Oats Pancake 

Oats are widely accepted by all mothers. It’s easy to digest and non-allergic. Bananas are a source of carbohydrates that fulfill the increased energy requirements of active children. Bananas have many other essential nutrients like folate, vitamin C, B6, and potassium.  These nutrients help in the nervous system, skin health, iron absorption, and blood pressure regulation. Bananas are also rich in antioxidants, which help against the damaging effects of free radicals. Oats have zinc, iron, magnesium, and fiber. It creates a feeling of fullness and prevents constipation, and protein in oats boosts immunity. Vitamins E, K, and B6 are anti-inflammatory and help children during injury. Cinnamon also has anti-inflammatory properties.  

Here is the yummiest pancake recipe for toddlers and I’m sure they will instantly fall in love with it. 

Ingredients 

⦁ 1 medium-size banana  

⦁ 5 tbsp. oats flour  

⦁ 1 pinch of cinnamon powder  

⦁ Ghee for cooking  

Method: 

1. Take 1 cup of rolled oats and grind them in a grinder 

2. Mash 1 medium-sized banana with a fork 

3. Add 5 tablespoons of oat flour.  

4. Add a pinch of cinnamon powder.  

5. Mix it well 

6. Add water to make the batter. The batter should be hard.  

7. Take a nonstick pan. Heat it and grease it with ghee. 

8. With a ladle, make a pancake of batter. 

9. Change its sides and add more ghee. 

10. Add natural sweeteners like jaggery syrup. 

Recipe 3: 

Homemade Cream Cheese Sauce 

This is very yummy and enjoyed by children of all age groups. Cream cheese is a good source of vitamins A and B2. Both these vitamins protect the vital tissues of the skin, intestine, and lungs. It is also rich in calcium, protein, and easily digested lactose. 

Ingredients: 

⦁ 1-liter milk 

⦁ 1 lemon 

⦁ Pinch of salt 

Method 

i. Boil 1 liter of milk in a saucepan. 

ii. Bring it to a boil. 

iii. Squeeze half a lemon. 

iv. Once curdled with the help of muslin cloth, drain the water. 

v. Add a pinch of salt 

vi. Blend it well.  

vii. You can store it for 15 days. 

viii. Spread it on paratha, roti, or bread after cutting it into small pieces.
